[Cvs-mvs] Login passwords for CVS-MVS -- Problems with Special Characters

I downloaded and installed the CVS-MVS binary on a z/OS V1R1 system, and
discovered that cvs login didn’t work – the server rejected the request as
unauthorized.

Turns out my login password contained special characters – @ and $ -- which
apparently are not handled correctly when translated from EBCDIC to ASCII. I
simplified my password by eliminating special characters and using only
lower-case alpha and digits, and it worked fine.
